Where are they now?

Who knew following American Golden-Plovers equipped with 3.5-gram PinPoint GPS Argos tags could teach us so much? Here's where they went along their southbound migration from Alaska to South America.

Please note: This information is meant for educational purposes only. Data has been obscured spatially and temporally at large map scales to protect the tagged individuals from human disturbance. American Golden-Plovers face myriad risks on their epic migration journeys, including recreational disturbance, climate change, habitat loss, inclement weather, and natural predators.
